Watch a race, not an empty track
Visit Dubai identifies Al Marmoom as Dubai’s main camel-racing venue. Races commonly take place early, but the exact programme should come from the Dubai Camel Racing Club. Training activity is not the same as a scheduled race.
Confirm the start time, visitor entrance and where spectators may stand. Arrange your return transport before going. Do not assume a taxi will be waiting at the track or follow racing vehicles onto restricted roads.
Al Qudra without a race booking
The Al Marmoom area also includes the Al Qudra cycling routes and lakes. They offer a different reason to come: a ride, birds or time in the open landscape. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.
Choose a cycle route that matches your fitness, confirm rental opening times and take enough water. Leave birds and other animals undisturbed, and use designated visitor areas.
An early start is worthwhile
Our recommendation is a cool-season morning, with a confirmed fixture if racing is the priority. If there is no race, make the lakes or a booked activity the purpose of the trip instead.
Keep this separate from a full desert safari unless the operator has explicitly combined them. It is a good swap for the flexible day in a week-long trip.
